On the afternoon of March 29, a delegation led by Academician Yu Aibing - Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fellow of both Australian Academies, Vice President of Monash University and President of its Suzhou Campus, and Dean of the Southeast University-Monash University Joint Research Institute - from Sinoma International Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sinoma International) visited the National Center of Technology Innovation for Smart Process Manufacturing (referred to as the NCTI-SPM). The delegation engaged in discussions with Qian Feng, Chief Scientist of NCTI-SPM and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, regarding cooperation matters including the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Du Wenli, Director of NCTI-SPM, accompanied the visit.
Prior to the meeting, Academician Yu Aibing and his delegation toured the NCTI-SPM's exhibition and demonstrations, including the ethylene virtual plant, full-process optimization system, intelligent manufacturing systems, and industrial software solutions.
During the symposium, Zhang Chengwei, General Manager of Sinoma International, highlighted the company's core business and future development direction. Academician Yu Aibing noted that as a key technical service provider for industrial intelligent system solutions under China National Building Materials Group, Sinoma International has established a comprehensive intelligent and digital service system ranging from basic equipment to intelligent platforms and transformation services. Leveraging industry-leading, proprietary industrial intelligent technologies, the company has facilitated the transformation of building materials industry towards greener, high-end, and intelligent development, having completed multiple demonstration projects of green, intelligent, low-carbon, and eco-friendly garden-style factories.
Academician Qian Feng welcomed the Sinoma International delegation, emphasizing the close alignment between the company's business and NCTI-SPM's research focus. He proposed collaborative optimization in areas such as digital transformation and supply chain operating systems to jointly address industry challenges in the building materials sector. Against the backdrop of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, he suggested joining forces to promote industrial innovation through new quality productive forces and build new strengths for Intelligent Manufacturing in China.
The symposium was also attended by representatives from Sinoma International, the Industrial Process Modeling and Optimization Institute of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, the School of Information Science and Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology, and the NCTI-SPM.
