Daqo Group Visits National Center of Technology Innovation for Smart Process Manufacturing to Jointly Promote Transformation of Sci-Tech Achievements

On the afternoon of February 20, Ge Fei, Executive President of Daqo Group, led a delegation to visit the National Center of Technology Innovation for Smart Process Manufacturing (referred to as the NCTI-SPM). The delegation engaged in discussions with Qian Feng, Chief Scientist of the NCTI-SPM and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other representatives on cooperation matters related to promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Academician Qian Feng extended a warm welcome to President Ge Fei and his delegation. Drawing from his personal experience and expertise in the transformation of sci-tech achievements, he shared cases of digital-real integration driving the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, Yang Minglei, a key member of the NCTI-SPM, introduced the center’s progress and representative achievements in original technology R&D, emerging industry cultivation, and innovative talent training.

President Ge Fei stated that Daqo Group, with years of deep-rooted expertise in the industry, is committed to cultivating innovative talent and investing in the transformation of sci-tech achievements in the fields of electrical engineering, new energy, and rail transportation. He noted that the NCTI-SPM has extensive experience and remarkable accomplishments in fostering sci-tech achievements for process manufacturing. He expressed hope for multi-faceted collaboration with the center to maximize the strengths of both parties, building a complementary innovation ecosystem in areas such as industry talent development, industry-academia-research cooperation, technological innovation, and achievement transformation.

Following the meeting, President Ge Fei and his delegation toured the NCTI-SPM’s exhibits and demonstrations, including the ethylene virtual plant, full-process optimization system, intelligent manufacturing systems, and industrial software.

Also present at the discussion were Zhao Ling, Director of the Development Planning Office of East China University of Science and Technology, as well as representatives from the School of Information Science and Engineering and the NCTI-SPM.
